IMPORTANT NOTES: A lot of travel agents run My Tho Full day tour and most of them have the same things : every stop is full of tourists and shops. The following tour will take you to different places of the same destination where you see less tourists.

DETAILED ITINERARY: At your chosen time,you will be picked up by our private guide and car then hit the road towards the Mekong delta. During the drive, you will enjoy the greenery sceneries through the car windows while having interesting chats with our guide to better understand about the Mekong delta’s history and industries. An optional stop will be made at a coffee shop if you need to stretch your muscles or to enjoy Vietnamese coffee on your own account. 

Upon arrival to My Tho  city, you will be boarding your private boat with our guide and then get ready for a 3 hour river cruise. The pleasant cruise will help you to get through the local areas of the Mekong delta. You will do some hop on – hop off activities during the cruise as follows:

A family homemade coconut candy workshop. You will be amazed by the way the local people produce candies and other things from coconut. Also, enjoy some tropical fruits provided by the family while enjoying their daily jasmine tea.

Enjoy some tropical fruits at a local family and listen to the traditional music named DON CA TAI TU which means “Folk singing”. Make some walks under shady trees on village paths.

Xe Loi – 3-wheel pulling motorbike – considered as a Tuktuk in Thailand. You will get closer to the local people’s life by a 15 minute ride on our special XE LOI through tiny country paths surrounded by coconuts. 

Enjoy a 20-30 minute sampan row along a small canal to get  a true feel about the village’s peaceful life.

Lunch is served at someone’s house by the riverside. Please don’t expect it’s like a fancy restaurant with air conditioning and good English speaking staff. It’s in a village, so the restaurant is run by a family with a super friendly, hospitable and honest serving attitude. The food is made in a family style with 5-6 courses.

After lunch, digest your food by a very nice bike ride around the green villages, stop by a hammock cafe (on your own account), enjoy the simple life of the Mekong delta people. 

After that, we get back to the boat and cruise 30 mins back to the boat station. Meet our driver and get back to Ho Chi Minh city in 2 hours. 

The tour ends at the hotel.

NOTE: 

• Included lunches will be local speciality/set menu/buffet stated clearly in each day. Local speciality means it’s where the locals eat/not designed for tourists but meet all the hygiene standards. 

• The timing and order in the daily plan for private tours is just suggestion, please feel free to change/adjust as long as it doesn’t cause extra costs. 

• Tipping is customary in Vietnam and only when the staff are doing an excellent job.
