This is a much more authentic Mekong Delta one day tour. You will be “Lost” in the middle of “Less Tourist Area” where you get more interactions with nature and people.

INTRODUCTION : Mekong delta – flat and low, is the biggest rice bowl of Vietnam making Vietnam the world’s second largest rice exporter. It has more than 28.000 kms of rivers and canals. Rivers have given people a lot of benefits and advantages : rice, fish, fruits, vegetables, transportation, and travel. It is the river culture that creates their special personalities : OPEN-MINDED (like the rivers), WARM (like the weather), DIVERSE (like different kinds of fruits), COLORFUL (like different kinds of vegetation) and SUPER HOSPITABLE. 

OBJECTIVES : This tour is especially designed for those who love simplicity and hate TOURISTIC SPOTS. You are promised to see only FEW tourists. You will be immersing yourself into a rural lifestyle with lots of friendly locals. 

DETAILED ITINERARY: 

At your chosen time, you will be picked up by our private guide and car then hit the road towards the Mekong delta. During the drive, you will enjoy the greenery sceneries through the car windows while having interesting chats with our guide to better understand about the Mekong delta’s history and industries. An optional stop will be made at a coffee shop if you need to stretch your muscles or to enjoy Vietnamese coffee on your own account. 

Upon arrival to Ben Tre city, you will be boarding your private boat with our guide and then get ready for a 3 hour river cruise. The pleasant cruise will help you to get through the local areas of the Mekong delta. You will do some hop on – hop off activities during the cruise as follows: 

– A brick factory – where you can witness the professional process of making bricks for house construction. You’ll be amazed by the huge brick kilns and appreciate the hard work of the locals. It’s worth seeing how the villagers make a living. 

– A family homemade coconut candy workshop. You will be amazed by the way the local people produce candies and other things from coconut. Also, enjoy some tropical fruits provided by the family while enjoying their daily jasmine tea. 

– Xe Loi – 3-wheel pulling motorbike – considered as a Tuktuk in Thailand. You will get closer to the local people’s life by a 15 minute ride on our special XE LOI through tiny country paths surrounded by coconuts. 

Enjoy a 15 minute sampan row along a small canal to get a true feel about the village’s peaceful life. 

Try some tropical fruits while enjoying DON CA TAI TU – a kind of folk music performed by local villagers with real tones and actings.

– Lunch will be served at a very nice riverside local homestay with a common Vietnamese set menu including the most special Elephant Ear Fish rolled with rice paper. 

– After lunch, get back to the pier and drive back to Ho Chi Minh city by our private car 

Tour ends at your hotel.
