This trip will take you to see the 5 most popular destinations in the Southern part of Vietnam : Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An.

BRIEFING: 

• Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh  arrival – rest –  one hour open bus city tour – highlighted city tour –  welcome dinner – overnight in Ho Chi Minh city 
• Day 2 –  Cu Chi tunnels group tour  – street food tour by motorbike 
• Day 3 – Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta group tour – overnight in Ho Chi Minh 
• Day 4 – Ho Chi Minh fight to Hue  – Hue half day city tour. – overnight in Hue
• Day 5 – Hue full day city tour – Train to Danang – Overnight in Danang
• Day 6 – Danang to Hoi An ancient town village tour – overnight in Danang
• Day 7 – Danang half day city tour – Departure from Danang airport– Flight MUST BE after 7.00 PM

This trip brings you to visit half of Vietnam’s map in the south only.

For some days we offer some optional visits to places and we let you pay the entrance fees when you decide to get in.

Places you are going to stop over and stay overnight : Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1 : Ho Chi Minh arrival – Guide and car pick up. This day depends on what time you arrive then we have some activities for you – Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

• Case 1 : Arrive before noon: pick up then lunch and half day city tour. Visit the most highlighted sites of Ho Chi Minh City : Independence Palace, Pink Church, Central Post Office, 30 minutes electric car ride, American soldiers’ stuff market, antique street, welcome dinner
• Case 2 : Arrive after noon: Pick up – lunch if needed. Check in hotel. one hour 3 wheel pushing bike ride, one hour open bus tour. Visit some highlighted sites on your requests (tickets on your own expenses), welcome dinner
• Case 3: Arrive in the evening: Just pick up -welcome dinner – and check in hotel

The cost at the end is based on case 3.

Day 2: Morning Group tour – Cu Chi tunnels- evening street food tour by motorbike or walking – Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City 

***MORNING: CU CHI TUNNELS – BEN DUOC SITE – GROUP TOUR 

Inclusions : Shared Minivan, guide, entrance fee, water, taste tapioca

TIMING: 7.30 AM – 2.00 PM

You will be picked up at your hotel at 7.30 AM by our friendly guide and driver. Then everybody spends 02 hour on the car with our guide’s introduction about Saigon and the war in an interesting way. You can also enjoy the lively life of the today Saigonese during the drive to Cu Chi district.

When arriving at BEN DUOC tunnels, you will be intensively led into the tunnels for about 1.5hour with our guide. You don’t have to crawl into the tunnels if you don’t want that, instead just walk on the surface under shady trees and on easy paths. During the visit, our guide will point out and tell you lots of interesting and touching stories about the war related to Cu chi area.

Things that you will surely see and get told during the visit:

• Secret entrances
• Personal fighting bunker
• Booby traps / Bamboo spikes
• Termite mounts, camouflaged finely as a ventilation hole
• Display of self-made traps from bomb shells by VC soldiers
• Shooting range – where you can buy real bullets to experience shooting
• Models of VC soldiers
• Fighting trenches
• Military workshops
• Military uniform bunker
• And more

You will also enjoy a common food for VC which is Boiled Tapioca dipping with Peanut salt mixture.

After all, you will get back in the car and move to the LIBERATED VILLAGE – It’s a sample village that is designed to look like it was during the war. You will walk around the peaceful village to witness all the common daily activities of the villagers in war. By this way you can get to know deeply how the locals prepared for enemy’s attacks and bombing operations.

Things and activities you will see in this village:

• Secret Bamboo spikes laid under the ground
• Schools in war
• Barber shops
• Markets
• Families preparing foods
• Meeting rooms
• Rice fields
• And so much else

After all, you will get back to the car and drive back to Saigon.

Arrive Saigon downtown by 2.00 PM, we will drop you off at a local market  or at your hotel for your own free time.

Lunch is on your own.

5.30 PM: join the very authentic food tour by motorbike.

Day 3 –  Mekong Delta – overnight in Ho Chi Minh city – Group tour 

Inclusions: Shared Minivan – guide – boat trip – lunch – water – entrance fee – hotel rooms

This tour brings you to the unseen Mekong Delta area where you get lots of interactions with local villagers who are simple, humble but special.

Day 4 – HCM flight to Hue – Half day Hue city tour – Overnight in Hue.

Inclusions: Private car to drop off Saigon airport, private car and guide in Hue, sight seeing fees, lunch

Hue is located right in the center of Vietnam’s map. It is the Former Capital of Vietnam’s last Imperial Dynasty : Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). Hue is famous for Kings’ tombs and Citadel. Hue is for history lovers and for those who look for peace in mind. 

Morning: Check out and move to the airport for the flight to Hue city.

Flight VJ 304 (11:10am – 12:35 pm) or VN 1372 (11:35 AM – 12:55 PM)

Visits and activities in Hue :

• Thien Mu pagoda : built in 1601 as the immortal spirit of Hue people
• Hue Former Citadel – the Former KingDom of the Nguyen Dynasty
• Dong Ba market – biggest market in Hue city downtown.

Evening optional activities:

• One hour dragon boat trip on Huong river with Hue royal music performances
• XICH LO (3 wheel pushing bike) around Hue city at night)
• Streetfood tour by motorbike
• Enjoy your own time strolling along Huong river or backpacker street full of fun bars and eating places

Day 5 – Hue city tour – train to Da Nang- overnight in Danang. Danang is south of Hue with the distance of about 100km. Danang is the most worth living city of Vietnam and the city of bridges. It’s famous for Dragon-shaped bridge, Bana Hills tourist attractions, Marble mountain. It’s

Morning: Check out from the hotel and visit some more places in Hue city :

• Minh Mang King Tomb : 2nd king of Nguyen Dynasty
• Traditional incense and hat making village – incense is for ancestor worshipping and conical hats are Vietnamese ladies’ traditional hats.

3.00 PM: Get on the train to Danang through picturesque Hai Van Pass.

6.00 PM: Arrive at Danang city , guide and car pick up and check in hotel.

Evening Time is on your own.

Day 6 – Danang – Hoi an – Danang –  overnight in Danang. 

Inclusions: Private car, guide, entrance fees, lunch, boat trip, hotel rooms

Morning: Visit some highlighted places in Danang city:

• Dragon Bridge – one of the world’s weirdest architectures combined with Love-Lock bridge where couples lock their love locks onto the bridge’s walls to express their love.
• Marble mountain : take the elevator to Linh Ung pagoda (about 20m from the ground) and from there start the walk through the mountain. Enjoy the natural caves and view of Danang beach.
• Linh Ung pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula to admire the 67m high Lady Buddha Statue

Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant

Continue the day Hoi an ancient town. Visit and enjoy the following activities:

• First get to Coconut Jungle to join the MUST-DO round bamboo boat trip with a lot of fun and great experiences.
• An optional bike ride around the old town  is recommended with visits of some Chinese temples and highlights of Hoi An ancient town (Hoi An market, Japanese bridge, ect)
• Visit Tra Que vegetable farm, the biggest green farm for Hoi an city.
• Enjoy your own free time in Hoi an : walk along the river, join the public street performances, enjoy evening boat rides to release lanterns, shopping and dinner. All of these are on your own account.
• Enjoy dinner on your own in town.
• Get back to car and drive back to Danang at 9.00 PM, then free on your own.

Day 7 – Enjoy free time and depart at Danang airport

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel

At your chosen time, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to Da Nang airport for your departure flight back home.
